Employed at Blackwell Engineering since 2006, his frustration with the inaccessibility of the built environment led to activism. In 2011, Luke founded the StopGap Foundation. The foundation’s main focus is the Community Ramp Project, a volunteer-run campaign that creates awareness about barriers to accessibility. The group offers free deployable ramps to businesses with single-step entryways. They increase accessibility and start a conversation about the importance of an inclusive society.
